Cold Call Appointment-Setting Script
For Local Business Owners Seeking Access to Business Credit (Up to
$100,000)
Purpose: Provide a concise,
compliant, high-conversion cold call script for Business Concierge team members
to set a brief appointment with a local business owner. This script follows a
service-first approach and positions the conversation around discovery,
education, and next steps rather than pressure.
Compliance Note (Required
Language): We do not guarantee approvals, limits, timelines, or lender
decisions. “Up to $100,000” is a potential outcome based on creditworthiness,
documentation, and execution. All statements must be framed as possibilities, not
promises.
1. Pre-Call
Setup (30 Seconds)
·
Know the name, business type, and (if available)
years in business and whether they have an EIN and business bank account.
·
Have two appointment times ready (e.g., today at
4:30 PM or tomorrow at 10:00 AM).
·
Open the CRM record and be ready to log:
decision maker status, pain points, credit goals, and appointment outcome.
·
Tone: confident, respectful, local, and brief.
Goal is the appointment, not the full sale.
2. Call
Opening (Permission-Based)
CONCIERGE: “Hi, is this [OWNER
NAME]?”
OWNER: “Yes.”
CONCIERGE: “Hi [OWNER NAME],
this is [YOUR NAME] with Get Biz Credit here in [CITY]. I know I’m calling out
of the blue — do you have 20 seconds for me to tell you why I called, and you
can tell me if it’s worth a quick follow-up?”
3.
One-Sentence Reason + Value Hook (Keep it Short)
CONCIERGE: “The reason I’m
reaching out is we help established business owners position their business to
access business credit — in many cases up to $100,000 over the next few months
— without relying solely on personal credit. It depends on the business
profile, but that’s the outcome we work toward.”
4.
Micro-Discovery (Two Questions Only)
CONCIERGE: “Just so I don’t
waste your time — quick question: are you currently using business credit for
your company, or mostly personal credit?”
CONCIERGE: “Second — if you
could add $25,000 to $100,000 in business credit over the next few months, what
would you use it for first: inventory, equipment, marketing, payroll, or
something else?”
5. Bridge
to Appointment (The Close)
CONCIERGE: “That makes sense.
The best next step is a brief 12–15 minute Business Credit Readiness check.
We’ll identify what you already have in place, what’s missing, and the fastest
path to qualify for larger limits. There’s no obligation — it’s a clarity
call.”
CONCIERGE: “I have availability
[TIME OPTION 1] or [TIME OPTION 2]. Which works better?”
6. If They
Ask, “How does it work?” (30-Second Explanation)
CONCIERGE: “In plain terms,
lenders and vendors look at the business profile: entity setup, EIN and
business banking, revenue signals, industry risk, online credibility, and how
your business credit file is built and reported. We help you build a fundable
profile and guide you step-by-step through the actions that typically unlock
higher limits — while keeping everything documented and compliant.”
7.
Objection Handling (Short Responses)
7.1 “I’m
not interested.”
CONCIERGE: “Understood. Before I
let you go — is it because you’re already funded where you need to be, or just
not a priority right now?”
If ‘not a priority’: “Fair. If I
could show you a simple checklist of what lenders look for so you’re ready when
you do need capital, would you be open to a 10-minute call next week?”
7.2 “Just
email me.”
CONCIERGE: “Absolutely — I can
do that. The only reason I prefer a 12-minute call first is I can send the
right information based on your situation. What’s the best email, and can we
pencil a quick call so the email is actually useful?”
Then: confirm email, set
appointment time, and send a brief calendar invite / confirmation message.
7.3 “Is
this a loan?”
CONCIERGE: “Great question.
We’re not a bank. We provide education and guided implementation to help your
business qualify for business credit products over time — vendor accounts,
revolving lines, and other credit options — based on your profile. Approvals
and limits are always up to the lenders.”
7.4 “How
much does it cost?” (Price Deflection to Appointment)
CONCIERGE: “It depends on which
path fits you best. The clarity call will identify what you need and whether
you can do it DIY or you want white-glove support. If it makes sense, we’ll
discuss options then. Does [TIME OPTION 1] or [TIME OPTION 2] work?”
7.5 “I
tried before and it didn’t work.”
CONCIERGE: “That’s common — most
people were missing one or two fundability items and never knew it. The
readiness check is designed to pinpoint exactly what held you back and what
changes produce a different outcome.”
8.
Voicemail Script (15–20 Seconds)
“Hi [OWNER NAME], this is [YOUR
NAME] with Get Biz Credit in [CITY]. Quick note — we help business owners
position their business to access business credit, in many cases up to $100,000
over the next few months, depending on qualifications. If you’d like a quick
12-minute readiness check, call or text me at [NUMBER]. Again, [NUMBER].”
9. SMS
Follow-Up (If You Have Permission / After Voicemail)
“Hi [OWNER NAME] — this is [YOUR
NAME] with Get Biz Credit. I just left you a quick voicemail. If you want a
12–15 minute Business Credit Readiness check to see what it would take to
pursue up to $100,000 in business credit (based on qualifications), I have
[TIME 1] or [TIME 2]. Which works?”
10.
Appointment Confirmation (What You Send After Booking)
“Confirmed for [DATE/TIME]. On
the call we’ll (1) review your current business profile, (2) identify what’s
blocking higher limits, and (3) map your fastest next steps. Please have your
business legal name, EIN status, and whether you have a business bank account
available.”
